Vacuum Relief Valves have multiple applications, including preventing the implosion of unvented tanks and preventing back siphonage through a supply line.

Vacuum Relief Valves are suited for installation on controlled pressure solar water heater tanks or other low pressure water heaters. Vacuum Relief Valves provide relief of vacuum on water heater tanks brought about by tap outlets being below the base of the heater. Vacuum Relief Valves also find application for the elimination of back siphonage from swimming pools or tanks when fitted to the hose cock used for filling or topping up.
