Non-Return & Non-Return Isolating Valves
Installation of a Non-Return Valve and an Isolating Valve on a pressurised water heater is required by the Australian National Plumbing Code. The non-return valve serves the dual purpose of protecting the mains supply from contamination, and the loss of water that has already been heated. The isolating valve provides a shut-off on the supply line for ease of servicing.
A combination Non-Return / Isolating Valves provides the dual mandatory functions of isolating valve and non-return valve for the installation of pressurised water heaters in a compact, easy to install device.
RMC has a range of valves in this category. The most commonly used are the NI50/NI75 Duo Valves (combination non-return and isolating). There is also a range of basic non-returns (NR Series and the NRL50), as well as a version with an integral strainer (NR50S). The final valve in the range is the Trio Valve, with combined functions of non-return, isolator and line-strainer. In the Trio, the Line-Strainers protect both the internal mechanisms of the valves, and devices downstream of the valve from damage due to contaminants in the water supply.
